Promotion Terms
These terms cover promotions, Promotion Credits and referral rewards across the Local Internet. Where a specific promotion's configuration states an amount, limit or date, that configuration governs.
Eligibility
Promotions apply to eligible businesses and organizations with an authoritative Business Record in this system. Each promotion states its own eligibility, geography, business types, dates and limits in its configuration, and those configured values govern.
Promotion eligibility is not publication eligibility. A promotion never makes a record publishable, verified or ranked.
Qualification
The qualifying event for claim-based promotions is the successful completion of a qualifying claim of an established Business Record, as determined by the existing claim process.
Searching, visiting, signing up, requesting a Business Record or submitting a claim earns nothing by itself. A rejected or withdrawn claim does not qualify.
Promotion Credit treatment
Promotion Credits have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn.
Credits cannot be transferred between unrelated businesses.
Credits do not purchase verification and do not influence claim review.
Credits do not guarantee placement, ranking, traffic, leads, sales or AI citations.
Credits may only be used for eligible promotional products.
Credits are recorded on the existing business credit ledger. Every balance shown anywhere is derived from that ledger.
Redemption restrictions
Credits may be applied only to eligible promotional products that the platform supports for your business at the time of redemption, such as Featured Business and Featured Offer.
A promotion may be awarded once per business unless its configuration states otherwise. Promotions do not stack where stacking is prohibited by their configuration.
Referral qualification
Referral rewards follow the existing referral program: attribution is established by the referral link, and credit exists only after the referred business successfully completes its qualifying claim.
Self-referral, duplicate businesses, duplicate claims, multiple accounts claiming the same reward, referral loops and other credit farming are not eligible and are reviewed under the existing governance model.
Expiration, changes and end dates
Promotions have configured start and end dates and may be changed or ended at any time. Ended promotions are shown as ended and cannot be redeemed.
Credits may carry an expiration where the program configuration sets one.
Promotions and independent review
Claims and record changes are reviewed independently under the existing governance rules. Receiving credits, buying promotion or referring businesses never influences review, verification, publication or Registry relationships.
No guaranteed business results
Nothing in a promotion guarantees placement, ranking, traffic, leads, sales, revenue or citation by any third party or AI system.
